Demonstrations begin calling for the hiring of more minority construction workers.

Some 60 construction workers begin three days of demonstrations on Seaver Street to call on their company to hire more black workers on projects in Roxbury. The Perini Construction Company agrees to the hiring demands on October 29, 1968.
